Expedia announced today that the TripAdvisor brand should be formed as a single entity by December 20.
Announce in April, Expedia planned to move the TripAdvisor website to its own operating entity which was overwhelmingly approved by shareholders. Stock in TripAdvisor started trading on a when-issued basis on the Nasdaq under the ticker "TRIPV", while after the spinoff it will trade under the ticker "TRIP."
Expedia shares will still be traded under the same call letters of EXPE.
