Chicago O'Hare is one of the first airports to see the re-branding change take place for the new United during this merger with Continental. The old-school United "U" logoed banners and signs are being replaced with the new logo sporting the Continental globe. Houston is also quickly seeing the re-branding changes as the city is now being pushed as a major United hub.
On top of that, 522 aircraft have been re-painted (40% of total fleet) and workers are installing nearly 450 re-branded signs on back walls at United's gates and check-in counters at O'Hare. United will repeat this process at about 370 airports worldwide by 2013.
