Unsatisfied hotel guests

We hear a lot about how the airline industry is struggling to satisfy its customers, now it seems the hotel industry is feeling the same concerns from 2010 to 2011.

The J.D. Power and Associates 2011 North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index study released on Wednesday shows that guests and less happy with facilities and services than in 2010. "As occupancy rises, some of the benefits guests enjoyed during lower occupancy levels decline," said Stuart Greif, a vice president at J.D. Power and Associates. Guests, however are more satisfied with rates and fees this year over last as hotels continue to drop rates. But, as rates drop benefits can too.

Noise and internet connection continue to be the biggest complaints by guests.
